Ryan White Part B Consortium - East Central Health District

The East Central Health District Consortium meets four times a year, beginning in April, plus an additional meeting prior to submission of the State Grant Application.

The meetings are held at 12:00 PM on the first Friday of the month at the Laney Walker Health Department.

Meetings generally last from one hour to one and one-half hours. Meetings are open to the public.

 

Each year the full membership roster is put in place by the Consortium Chair in April. 

 

The Consortium, in order to comply with requirements of the CARE Act, shall include representatives of :


Health Care Providers

  AIDS Service Organizations      

  Community Based Organization Serving Affected Populations

  Federally Qualified Health Centers

  Mental Health Providers

  Substance Abuse Treatment Providers

  Local Public Health Agencies

  Individuals from Historically Under served Populations

  Hospital Planning Agencies or Health Care Planning Agencies

  State Medicaid Agency

  Affected Communities – Including Persons Living With HIV/AIDS

  State Agency Administering Title II

  Special Projects of National Significance

  Grantees Under Title III(b)

  AIDS Education Training Centers

  Grantees Under Title IV or Organizations Serving Children, Youth, and Families with HIV

  Non-Elected Community Leaders

  Grantees Under Other Federal HIV Programs

  Social Service Providers

  HIV Prevention Programs

  HOPWA

  Former Local Prisoners, or Persons who advocate Prisoners

  CARE Act Part F: Dental Reimbursement Programs

  Social Service Providers (Housing & Homeless)

 

In addition, HRSA requires that each Ryan White Title II Consortium strive to match membership with the demographics of the epidemic in their area.

This Consortium makes a concerted effort to have as many persons who are living with HIV and AIDS participate. 

 

Each member may serve on a Committee of the Council.  The Standing Committees of the Consortium are as follows:

  • ·   Quality Management Committee
  • ·   Consumer Advisory Board
